Swainton Station Benefit A Sucess!

Many thanks to all who participated!

As many of our followers know Swainton Station hosted a Benefit for Suicide Prevention in memory of Richelle Renza. It was a fun day for all who participated. We had a dunking booth, snow cones, duck pond game, hula hoop contest, music, kiddie rides, Coastal Broadcasting Radio Station, face painting and so more.

For those of you who were unable to attend our Suicide Prevention Fun Day, you may still get involved by: mail in your donations to :

Benefits Suicide Prevention: at Middle Township High School and Gettysburg College.

Unfortunately until something like this happens to us first hand most people are unaware of this danger.
Times have changed since we grew up and the pressures for our children today are greater.
There are so many of our young children today who lose hope, and go into a depression.
Regardless of how or why they give up in the face of hopelessness and despair, the byproduct is the emotional
and physical disturbances of depression.

Fact: a family history of depression (a parent) increases the chances (by 11 times), than a child will also have depression.
Treatment of depression is effective 60 -80% of the time.
Less than 25% of individuals with depression receive treatment.
